When I first started this assignment I was a little scared that I was not going to do very well. I had never worked on a software like this and I had certainly not ever made a movie before. I ended up using Windows Movie Maker which turned out to be very simple and easy to understand how to use. I came up with my topic and after I had found my pictures, filmed and found the right music it was a breeze to finish up the project.
I think that video storytelling is a fun a creative activity for students to use. I think that it lets them show creativity and personality in their work and it is also a great alternative to writing a paper. This is something that I would more than likely use in a middle school level or on some occasions an upper level elementary. I think that with younger students there would have to be some guiding through steps which can be time consuming so I would really only do this project if I had time in my schedule. This would be a project done once maybe twice a year depending on how long I wanted them to be. I think this is great tool and that students would respond very well to it.
