Tokbox is similar to ichat via Macs. It will permit you to have video or audio chats but tokbox will permit up to 20 people face-to-face. As for it working in class, the issue was actually with the mac book I was using rather than the service. He...

Mr. Mantz: I'm updating my portfolio, and realized that I never put the Intel information into my portfolio. I'm not sure how to work it in. Do you think that is something I should put in my education information as Intel Teach to the Future Workshop or should I put it under professional organizations and format it some other way? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Mr. Mantz: I'm student teaching this semester in Hutchinson. I taught a lesson that incorporated new vocabulary and utilized the Discovery.com puzzle makers that you introduced us to. It was so easy and very helpful! It was a quick and fun activity for the kids and everyone did well on it. Thanks for taking us through lots of websites to use! I just thought I'd let you know that what you covered in Tech. in the Classroom was helpful!

Dean,
Things look lively here! If your students start blogging on their pages, we can feature their thoughts on the front page. I look forward to seeing what your students can do!

Mr. Mantz, you are correct in believing that I will graduate this spring. I will not be able to teach anything other than Biology when I first graduate. I am hoping to take a test once I am out to become licensured in middle school general science, just to help keep my options open. I am flattered by your recommendation and I am willing to look into what Lyons has to offer and what they are looking for in another science teacher. I only wish not to hurt any one's feelings by declaring right away that I wish to look around before even setting up an interview anywhere. Thank you.

Good plan, I teach a similar course at Fort Hays State University and plan to do the same thing. Maybe we need to share resources!!! I also have a ning site set up for discussion and have real teachers from the trenches participating. Maybe you and class class would like to join in the discussions. email me if you are interested.

Kevin,
The students enrolled in my Technology in the Classroom course at Sterling College will be required to setup and maintain a page within this community. I will have them participate in discussions and provide classroom lessons they develop as part of their website. What is best is that all videos and podcasts they make will need to be posted via this site. Wow, can you tell I am excited and ready to get them started?
