It is very handy to have a social networking right at your access. And it's alot easier to find fellow classmates, teachers, etc. on a social net working system than by finding them in the telephone book. But, I don't feel like I'm completely hooked…

I completely agree with you on using these sites that are at our finger tips. I doubt there are a lot of colleges that promote or even know of sites like this. So, personally I think we have a little bit of an advantage coming out of Sterling, being…

Educational goals
I plan to graduate Sterling College with a Bachelors Major in Exercise Science and Education, and then Bachelors Minor in Recreation and Christian Ministries in 2011.
Perfect job for me
I would love to live in Colorado and incorporate Life-Long Activities in my Physical Education Program. But, before I go into Physical Education as a Teacher, I would like to learn and teach Recreation from all different levels and styles so that I can better incorporate it in my Physical Education classroom in my thirties.

I am a student going into Physical Education at Sterling College. I have enjoyed and loved multiple different sports through the years. I have played soccer since I was a boy at the age of 6, for a Recreational Kaw Valley Team in Lawrence; we were called - The Thunder! I continued playing soccer into high school and was… Continue

Week 11 in TnC - Video Specs

We have been working hard at the Sterling High School and Middle School on our Green Screen and Video Specs projects. At the beginning, Mr. Mantz said that we were to either to the educational video competition that was to be no longer than 2 minutes, or to make a green screen. There was a new green screen over at the high school, so our class for a few nights went over there so students that wanted to would get the chance to learn how the green screen works and be able to make a video by using… Continue

Week 8 TnC

For week eight of our class for Technology in the Classroom with Dean Mantz, we were to either make a green screen project (like that of the 8 o'clock news), or to make a movie lasting a couple minutes about education. Ashley Winters and I were partners for this project and made a movie about Music Education and how it shaped our views of music, our preferences in music, and how it shaped our lives. It truly is a nice video that captures us talking and praising our teachers from our past in musi… Continue

Week 9 and 10 in TnC

This week was a eye-opening week. As we all know, stealing other people's work is not a good thing, and it goes to a higher level than just the topic of morals and ethics- you can get prosecuted and turned in for it! We growing and learning a ton in our technology classes and how we can adapt and mold it to the classroom in the future, but along with this has to come the knowledge of how to site your work and acknowledge the people that have helped you get to the conclusions that you have gotten… Continue

Great to have you on board Truyn. One small change you need to make is the website address. In class it was suggested you use sterling.edu. You provided an e-mail address rather than a website address. Also, explain how Mrs. Hicks changed/influenced your life.
