My background for 21st century skills is something I have been familiar with since I was a teenager. With power point, excel and word I have used these programs since I was in middle school, which makes it easy for me to teach these to my students.…

I think to communicate your ideas you need to have lots of information and facts for students to see. A lot of PSA videos are to inform people, so when you have a lot of information and your facts, it gets your point across clearly so students will…

Thinking of Digital Storytelling in my classroom is something I think could be very helpful. I had fun doing this project and it was neat to see the final project. I think for visual learners this is something that could definitely come in handy. Yo…

I think technology in the classroom is very important. You mentioned facebook. Most districts block sites like that. It is important to teach students the importance of having good digital manners. If you do not teach students how to do things corre…

I think technology in the classroom can/is very useful, when you use it the right way. Depending on ages, it can also be a distraction. Students don’t want to pay attention and would rather be on Facebook than be doing what they are suppose to. Howe…

Application-Final Project

My background for 21st century skills is something I have been familiar with since I was a teenager. With power point, excel and word I have used these programs since I was in middle school, which makes it easy for me to teach these to my students. I have taken classes that have helped me to learn how to teach 21st century skills to my students also. I pick up on a lot of new things very well, and technology is something I think every student should be introduced to. That is why I was drawn to t… Continue

PSA VIDEO (texting while driving)

I think to communicate your ideas you need to have lots of information and facts for students to see. A lot of PSA videos are to inform people, so when you have a lot of information and your facts, it gets your point across clearly so students will know what youre talking about. From our PSA video we wanted to get the lifestyle of texting while driving and how dangerous it is. Since so many teens are inexperience drivers, more distractions are not better. Even adults who text and drive it is not… Continue

Digital Storytelling

Thinking of Digital Storytelling in my classroom is something I think could be very helpful. I had fun doing this project and it was neat to see the final project. I think for visual learners this is something that could definitely come in handy. You could use it to actually show students information visually. At the Elementary level though students couldn't do a lot with making videos, that would have to be saved for higher ages. Other than just for showing I honestly dont know how this would b… Continue

Social Networking, Social Bookmarking and tokbox response

I think social networking is an awesome thing to have. I like how students actually talk about homework. I think it is very beneficial because if some students dont understand something, they can get on and ask their peers for help. I think it would help increase grades and also just give students extra help if needed. I couldnt beleive the statistics on this and that 50% actually used social networking to talk about education. That proves that students with access to technology actually put it… Continue
