For our "green screen" project, we decided to make a public service announcement about the safety of weight lifting. The safety dealt mostly with form and how you are supposed to lift weights without injuring yourself. A good way to communicate the ideas effectively is to have a video of someone doing a lift, while another person is talking as the lift is being performed. This is what we did. This was the first time I have used Windows Movie Maker so it took me a little while to get used to it and understand what all it could do. It wasn't very difficult to put slides together; it was actually easier than I expected. But one thing I did have trouble with was when I added text to be displayed on a certain slide. During last week's class, we communicated with a couple different people through tokbox. I was not familiar with this website before, but I found it very interesting. You can talk with other people online and see them live. Most the communicating I do online requires me to type long messages. But with tokbox, you can talk to them and see them. The first article I read was "Social Networking in Education." The thing that really jumped out at me was the fact that 96 percent of students indulge in some type of conversation on the Internet.
